Privacy Policy

Effective Date: March 2026  ·  Circuit / circuithq.io

The Short Version

We collect the information needed to run Circuit and provide the service to you. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with anyone except the service providers we rely on to keep Circuit running. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data at any time.

The longer version is below. We've written it in plain English on purpose.

What Information We Collect

When you use Circuit or circuithq.io, we may collect the following:

Information you give us directly:

  • Your name and email address (when you sign up or contact us)
  • Your company name and role
  • Any other details you provide when booking a call or filling out a form

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage data — how you interact with Circuit (pages visited, features used, session activity)
  • Browser and device information (type, operating system, browser version)
  • IP address and approximate location

Cookies and similar technologies:

We use cookies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how people use the site. See the Cookies section below for more detail.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain the Circuit service
  • Respond to your questions and support requests
  • Send you updates, product announcements, and relevant communications (you can opt out of these at any time)
  • Improve Circuit — understanding how people use the product helps us build a better one
  • Comply with legal obligations

We don't use your data to run advertising or sell access to third-party marketers. That's not what we're here for.

Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell your personal information. Full stop.

We share data only with the service providers we rely on to operate Circuit — and only to the extent necessary to do the job. These include:

  • Supabase — our database infrastructure
  • Email delivery providers — to send transactional emails (like account notifications)
  • Analytics tools — to understand how the product is being used (aggregated, not personal)

All service providers are bound by contracts that prohibit them from using your data for any purpose other than providing services to us.

We may also share information if we're required to by law — for example, in response to a valid legal request. In those cases, we'll notify you when permitted to do so.

Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as long as we need it to provide you the service. If you close your account, we'll delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable time, unless we're legally required to retain it.

If you'd like your data deleted sooner, just reach out at jake@circuithq.io.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct any inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Opt out of marketing emails (every email we send includes an unsubscribe link)

To exercise any of these rights, email us at jake@circuithq.io. We'll respond within a reasonable timeframe — typically within 30 days.

Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies — small files stored on your browser — to:

  • Keep you logged into Circuit
  • Understand how visitors use the site (pages visited, time spent, features clicked)
  • Remember your preferences

You can control cookie settings in your browser. Disabling cookies may limit some functionality of the service.

Our analytics tools collect aggregated, anonymized data. We use this to improve Circuit — not to identify individual users.

Security

We take data security seriously. Circuit uses industry-standard practices to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure database infrastructure, and access controls that limit who can see what.

No system is 100% secure. If you have concerns about the security of your data, reach out at jake@circuithq.io and we'll address them directly.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we'll post the new version here and update the effective date. If the changes are significant, we'll let you know directly.
